Police in Kwania District are investigating circumstances under which a 21-year-old man was murdered after he attempted to recover 3,000 shillings he had loaned out to a friend.
Moses Ekwang, a resident of Amia A Village, Aduku Sub County in Kwania District was allegedly attacked and killed by one, Tonny Ekut.
The victim had gone to the home of the suspect to claim his money when he was hit on the head with a stick
.Ekwang reportedly died on Monday afternoon from Aduku Health Centre IV where he was receiving medical treatment. His body has since been handed over to his relatives for burial. Ekut has been arrested and detained at Kwania Central Police Station in connection with the murder incident.Jimmy Patrick Okema, the North Kyoga Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) confirmed the report to media, and said police has launched investigations into the murder incident.
