A deadly explosion yesterday shocked residents of Komamboga in Kawempe Division in Kampala, Uganda. The blast went off at Digida pork joint in Komamboga on 2hours past 7pm curfew time Saturday, 23th of October 2021 leaving three people dead and seven others severely injured.

“It seems to be a terrorist act,” Museveni Tweeted on Sunday.
“The information I have is that 3 people came and left a package in kaveera [plastic bag] which later on exploded,” Museveni said.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility.

”Our joint task teams from the bomb squad (were) called to thoroughly document the scene- to help determine whether the explosion arose out of an intentional act or not,” Police informed in a statement late Saturday, further asking the public ”to remain calm as we (police) establish the true circumstances surrounding the incident.” the Uganda Police chief political commissar Asan Kasingye added.
