Northern Uganda’s rapper, Stayput, has been honored as Northern Rapper of the Year 2025 at the recently concluded UG Hip-Hop Awards 2025.
He beat a strong field of competitors, including Benon Enze, G-Pet Hiphoplord, Rap Drawz, Son of Aboda, Toobi Smolz, Snob Dee, and Xcript.
The award ceremony took place on Friday at IUEA Auditorium in Kampala, where hardworking rappers were recognized with accolades.
On Sunday, the excited ‘Abubang’ shared a photo of himself having a chilling moment with his award, captioning it: “These people sleeping on me like I am crest foam. Northern Rapper of the year 2025.”
Despite being nominated in four top categories, Stayput, real name Ojok Choudry, bagged only the Northern Rapper of the Year award. We congratulate him on this great achievement.
